In 2012, Felarca was described as a “Northern California Coordinator of BAMN and a middle school teacher in Berkeley.” She was an activist in the Occupy movement and in Black Lives Matter-connected protests at the University of California at Berkeley, where she told the New York Times she thought “militant” actions were appropriate:

The Teacher's Union in California has at least tacitly supported this woman:
A representative from the Berkeley Federation of Teachers was present at the Felarca’s reinstatement meeting, and presumably was involved in the negotiations between Felarca and the district. And as Felarca’s attorney puts it, “We continue to … fight for her free speech right and academic freedom. We also seek damages for the violations on her rights … to make sure that everybody’s rights are protected.”

Is this a woman who should be teaching young students? A woman who not only condones but promotes and participates in violence to shut down speech she doesn't agree with? Is this the direction todays Democratic Party wants to go? Would you want this woman teaching your children or grandchildren? I wouldn't.
