The Hypocrisy of Susan Rice

What we don't need is someone who has been as complicit in lying to the American people as Susan Rice has lecturing anyone on the need to tell the truth. Susan's hypocrisy was on full display in her recent op-ed in The Washington Post. Susan, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Excerpts from her op-ed are in red.

Last week, the British intelligence agency GCHQ took the rare step of debunking as “utterly ridiculous” the Trump administration’s insinuation that Britain spied on Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign. On Monday, FBI Director James B. Comey testified plainly that “I have no information that supports” President Trump’s accusations that his predecessor ordered the “wires tapped” at Trump Tower. These false statements from the White House are part of a disturbing pattern of behavior that poses real and potentially profound dangers to U.S. national security.
The foundation of the United States’ unrivaled global leadership rests only in part on our military might, the strength of our economy and the power of our ideals. It is also grounded in the perception that the United States is steady, rational and fact-based. To lead effectively, the United States must maintain respect and trust. So, when a White House deliberately dissembles and serially contorts the facts, its actions pose a serious risk to America’s global leadership, among friends and adversaries alike.

Really Susan? Did you really go there? You who lied to not just American citizens about Benghazi being about a YouTube Video, but also lied to our allies? You who worked for the first Administration who leaked that our strongest ally in the Middle East, Israel, does in fact have nuclear weapons. You who worked for the Administration who was caught spying on the leaders of our allies?

You who worked for the Administration who admitted in an interview with The New York Times they manipulated the press and lied to our allies especially Israel, to get their "deal" with Iran? You who worked for the Administration that issued the "red line warning" to Syria then did nothing when they crossed it. You don't think that damaged our standing in the world?

Who can forget Time Magazine's Lie of the Year? Don't you remember your boss, President Obama winning it for, "If you like your Dr. you can keep your Dr., if you like your Insurance you can keep your Insurance." Who can forget Jonathan Gruber admitting the intentional lies and misinformation used to pass Obamacare?

You worked for an Administration who has been caught lying to the American people and our allies more than any Administration in my memory. You participated in many of those lies. How do you think our Allies in Europe felt when they heard your boss caught on a "hot mike" saying "tell Valdimer  I will have more flexibility after my election." Do you really think that didn't damage our credibility with our allies?

Susan for the reasons listed above, among others, you have earned our Hypocrite of the Week award.

If you want to read the entire op-ed you can read it here:

Here we go Again, The Hypocrite of the Week Goes Too

Donna Brazile, congratulations you are this weeks winner! Not because you semi-confessed and semi-apologized, but because of your attempt at using Christianity.

Let me jog your memory. Do you remember this interview?

“I did not receive any questions from CNN, let’s just be very clear,” a shaky Brazile told Kelly.

“Where did you get it?” the host shot back.

“First of all what information are you providing to me that will let me see what you are talking about?” said Brazile.
She grew more defensive.

“As a Christian woman I understand persecution, but I will not sit here and be persecuted because your information is totally false,” the operative said.

“Podesta’s emails were stolen. You’re like the thief that what’s to bring into the night what you found in the gutter,” she continued.
Donna the highlighted portion of your interview with Mrs. Kelly is the main reason you were rewarded as this weeks winner. How could you compare what happened to you with true Christian persecution?

You were caught cheating to help Hillary Clinton. When caught and questioned about it you lied. Then you compared what was happening to you to Christian persecution? You need to educate yourself on what Christian persecution really is Donna.

You can read real, true life stories of modern Christian persecution in my book Modern Day Christian Martyrs. If you can't afford it I will be happy to send you a copy. I can't help but wonder how the people in my book would feel about your comments.

Donna, I am going to pray you never have to experience true Christian persecution. Please don't cheapen what Christians who are truly being persecuted experience by comparing it to what basically you did to yourself.

"We Have to Pass the Bill to See What is in the Bill" The Hypocrite of the Week is...

Nancy, Nancy, Nancy, not only were you our first Hypocrite of the Week, you are now the first to win the award twice. You really make it difficult doing a Hypocrite of the Week and keeping it interesting. You seem to have the ability to qualify every week. This week however you left me no choice.

Nancy do you remember this?

"You've heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don't know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention—it's about diet, not diabetes. It's going to be very, very exciting. But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy."
March 9,  2010

Just in case you forgot:

What has changed Nancy? That well documented quote is what you said about the Affordable Care Act 7 years ago. This is what you said 7 years almost to the day later about the American Care Act:

“The American people and Members have a right to know the full impact of this legislation before any vote in Committee or by the whole House,” she wrote. “These are critical questions and I hope that Republicans will honor their responsibility to the American people both before the Committees vote and before the final bill goes to the House floor.”

Nancy Pelosi
March 7, 2017

I had no choice Nancy. With statements like that I had to award you the distinction of being our first ever two-time winner. Congratulations.

It's Time Again, The Hypocrite of the Week Is...

The winner is Representative Keith Ellison. Maybe not for the reason you think. Keith won the award for the following tweets:

One who doesn't know Keith's past history probably would think those tweets were nice and supportive, not hypocritical. As Paul Harvey would say, "Now for the rest of the story."

Prior to his election to the House of Representatives, Ellison had defended Farrakhan’s controversial comments, which often strayed into black supremacy, anti-Semitism, homophobia, and other forms of bigotry.

In 2009, Ellison endorsed the United Nation’s Goldstone report, which accused Israel of war crimes during the 2008-2009 Gaza conflict. Five years later, Ellison was one of only eight House members to oppose aid for the Iron Dome missile protection system Israel developed in response to Hamas rocket attacks.

In an audio recording publicized by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, Ellison can be heard accusing Israel, through elements of the American Jewish community, of dominating the United States.

“The United States foreign policy in the Middle East is governed by what is good or bad through a country of 7 million people,” Ellison is heard saying in the recording. “A region of 350 million all turns on a country of 7 million. Does that make sense? Is that logic? Right? When the Americans who trace their roots back to those 350 million get involved, everything changes. Can I say that again?”

This was recorded in 2010. Keith Ellison has a storied past of Anti-Israel comments. All one has to do is google him. Keith, if you have a proven history of being Anti-Israel and Anti-Jew, then post tweets like those above, you might be a Hypocrite!

Our 5th Hypocrite of the Week Award Winner Is...

For the first time our award is won by a group instead of a single person. House Democrats, you win this weeks award! House Republicans, don't get to excited, I'm quite confident you will have your opportunity!

As you read the screenshots posted below, it is important to remember a few things from recent history.

1.  Much of the Affordable Care Act was put together with no transparency. In fact the American People were intentionally misled by the Democrats.

March 2010: REP. NANCY PELOSI: But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it away from the fog of the controversy.

Jonathan Gruber:  Gruber explains that the Obama administration passed the so-called “Cadillac tax” on high-value employer health plans “by mislabeling it, calling it a tax on insurance plans rather than a tax on people, when we know it’s a tax on people who hold these insurance plans.” Americans would not support a tax on individuals, so “We just tax the insurance companies, they pass on the higher prices . . . it ends up being the same thing.” The ruse, Gruber says, was “a very clever . . . basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter.”

“Barack Obama’s not a stupid man, okay? He knew when he was running for president that quite frankly the American public doesn’t actually care that much about the uninsured. . . . What the American public cares about is costs. And that’s why even though the bill that they made is 90 percent health insurance coverage and 10 percent about cost control, all you ever hear people talk about is cost control.”

In yet another video, Gruber says the Obama administration knew the individual mandate was a tax, but that if Americans knew the truth “the bill dies.” So the bill “was written in a tortured way to make sure [the Congressional Budget Office] did not score the mandate as taxes.” He adds that “the lack of transparency is a huge political advantage” and that “the stupidity of the American voter . . . was really, really critical for the thing to pass.”

Nancy Pelosi on Townhall protests against ACA:  PELOSI: What they want is a continuation of the failed economic policies of President George Bush which got us in the situation we are in now. What we want is a new direction. … This [tea party] initiative is funded by the high end — we call call it astroturf, it’s not really a grassroots movement. It’s astroturf by some of the wealthiest people in America to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich instead of for the great middle class.

So let me get this straight Nancy. When it is the Tea Party it is Astroturf, but when it is liberals it isn't funded, or organized? Just Organic Grass Roots? Is that what you are saying? Opps: Caught again Nancy.  https://www.indivisibleguide.com/web#header-summary

Former National Security Advisor to President Ben Rhodes on manipulating the press to get the Iran Deal done. The lies told, back room deals no transparency:

Rhodes has become adept at ventriloquizing many people at once. Ned Price, Rhodes’s assistant, gave me a primer on how it’s done. The easiest way for the White House to shape the news, he explained, is from the briefing podiums, each of which has its own dedicated press corps. “But then there are sort of these force multipliers,” he said, adding, “We have our compadres, I will reach out to a couple people, and you know I wouldn’t want to name them — ”
“I can name them,” I said, ticking off a few names of prominent Washington reporters and columnists who often tweet in sync with White House messaging.
Price laughed. “I’ll say, ‘Hey, look, some people are spinning this narrative that this is a sign of American weakness,’ ” he continued, “but — ”
“In fact it’s a sign of strength!” I said, chuckling.
“And I’ll give them some color,” Price continued, “and the next thing I know, lots of these guys are in the dot-com publishing space, and have huge Twitter followings, and they’ll be putting this message out on their own."

For more on the backroom secret deals and collusion with the media in Rhodes on words:
https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/08/magazine/the-aspiring-novelist-who-became-obamas-foreign-policy-guru.html?_r=1

Now that we have had a refresher on the House Democrats lack of Transparency, back room secret deals, and media manipulation. Let's take a look at what they are saying:

For this reason House Democrats you all share in the honor of being this weeks Hypocrite of the Week!

4th Hypocrite of the Week Award Goes to...

Once again a very difficult choice. The runners up included Nancy Pelosi, it would have been her second win, and the Mainstream Media. Elizabeth Warren won the race to the bottom for her treatment of Betsy DeVos. Mrs. DeVos, President Trump's pick to lead the Department of Education is a proponent of School Vouchers so parents can choose which schools they want their children to attend. In this way children wouldn't have to be trapped in a substandard school.

Senator Warren led the charge against Mrs. DeVos. She was brutal. Disagreeing with DeVos doesn't in of itself make someone a hypocrite. I have friends who opposed her. What makes Senator Warren a hypocrite is condemning DeVos for the same belief that Warren has supported.

In her 2003 book, “The Two-Income Trap” (co-authored with her daughter, Amelia Warren Tyagi), Warren endorsed a school-voucher system to free children from the tyranny of educrats assigning them to schools based on where their parents can afford to live.
Warren wrote: “With fully funded vouchers, parents of all income levels could send their children — and the accompanying financial support — to the schools of their choice.”
Moreover, she argued that framing the issue as a “public versus private competition” misses the key issue: “The problem is not vouchers; the problem is parental choice.”
Warren pointed out that most public-school placement is based on ZIP code. The only way parents can exercise any choice is to buy a home in the school district they want — but poor families lack that option.
The solution, she asserted, is to break up the “ironclad relationship” between ZIP code and school with a well-designed voucher system.
Yet ahead of the confirmation hearings, Warren charged that DeVos’ support for vouchers and privately run schools was disqualifying.

There are many reasons Senator Warren could have won the Hypocrite of The Week Award. I'm certain this won't be the last time she wins it. It was simply to easy to prove. All one had to do was read her book.

Senator Warren, if you are brutal to someone in a public hearing for supporting the same thing you advocate in your own book, you might be a hypocrite. Congratulations on your win.

Third Hypocrite of the Week Award Goes to...

Once again it was a difficult decision. I had to go with Linda Sarsour. Webster's should post a picture of Linda in the definition of hypocrite. She calls herself a women's rights activist. Was one of the organizers of the Women's Rights March, you know the one with Madonna, Ashley Judd and the Vagina costumes.

I have asked Linda via Twitter how a supporter of Sharia can be a women's rights activist. Of course now that she has got more well known she refuses to answer. Before we get into Linda in more detail, lets look at some of what the al-Azhar approved Sharia Law Manual, The Reliance of the Traveler says.

m3.4 - 3.7 say that a woman may not "conduct her own marriage", meaning that she is not free to marry by choice.  A male guardian is required to validate the marriage agreement.

m3.8 says that a woman is not free to choose her guardian.  It is assigned by family relation.  Once she is married, she becomes the charge of her husband's guardianship.

A Muslim woman may not marry a non-Muslim man (Quran 2:221).  An untranslated portion of the Sharia even forbids an Arab woman from marrying a non-Arab man (
source).

(m13.4) -
A woman has no right to custody of her children from a previous marriage when she remarries.

(m5.1) -
It is obligatory for a woman to let her husband have sex with her immediately when he asks her... and she can physically endure it.

(m10.11-2) -
It is not lawful for a wife to leave the house except by the permission of her husband.

(m10.11) -
When a husband notices signs of rebelliousness in his wife, he warns her in words. If she commits rebelliousness, he keeps from sleeping with her without words, and may hit her, but not in a way that injures her, meaning he may not break bones, wound her, or cause blood to flow.

(o4.9) -
The indemnity for the death or injury of a woman is one-half the indemnity paid for a man.

(L10.3) -
Divide the universal share so the male receives the portion of two females (Rule of inheritance based on the Quran 4:11)

(m2.3) -
It is unlawful for women to leave the house with faces unveiled

Reading those excerpts how can one be both a Women's Right's Activist and a Sharia Law Supporter?

A few tidbits from her Twitter feed:

Linda, if you think President Trump and Republicans are horrible for women, yet support Sharia Law, you might be a Hypocrite!

First Hypocrite of the Week Award Winner

Our Hypocrite of the Week is an award we will pass out to public figures who earned it in the previous week. Webster's defines hypocrite as the following:

1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.

2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

                                              Nancy Pelosi 2012.jpg

Our very first award goes to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. Minority Leader Pelosi won this award due to her criticism of President Trump's use of Executive Orders. It was a close call between her and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

As Speaker of the House, and as House Minority Leader Mrs. Pelosi vigorously defended President Obama's use of Executive Orders. Some of her statements include:

Washington, D.C. –  Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement today in response to President Obama’s executive orders to strengthen counterterrorism efforts by outlining a process for closing the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay and revising detention and interrogation policies:

“President Obama’s executive orders closing the detention facility at Guantanamo, expanding the coverage of the interrogation practices permitted by the Army Field Manual, and initiating reviews of detention and interrogation policies will ensure that terrorist suspects held by the United States are treated in ways consistent with our laws and our values.
“The President’s deliberate and responsible approach will make the American people safer by improving the quality of intelligence, and begin to restore the standing of the United States in the eyes of the world.  By addressing these difficult issues quickly and directly, President Obama has served notice that he understands the concerns of military and intelligence professionals that past practices had hurt, rather than advanced, international efforts to combat terrorism.”

In regards to President Obama's Executive Order on Immigration she compared him to President Lincoln:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi compared President Obama’s planned executive action on immigration reform to President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation.

“Remember, President Lincoln said, ‘public sentiment is everything,’” the Democrat said at a press conference, “I wish the Republicans would at least give the public a chance to listen to what the president is trying to do."
“And also does the public know the Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order? People have to understand how presidents have made change in our country, Congress catching up, and in the case of Ronald Reagan, improving upon what Congress has done.”

On lifting the ban on stem cell research:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement today after President Obama signed an executive order lifting the Bush Administration’s restrictions on federally financed human embryonic stem cell research:

“By lifting the executive ban on federal funding for stem cell research, President Obama has given hope, and potentially health, to millions. Every family in America is just one diagnosis, one phone call, or one accident away from needing the benefits of embryonic stem cell research.
“Today President Obama has also restored science to its rightful place in our national debates.  Scientists must be allowed to pursue the research that they believe has the most promise to cure.  And when they do, America remains a world leader in innovation, discovery, and growth.
“If we have a scientific opportunity to treat and cure disease, we have a moral opportunity to support it.  That is why Congress will move to pass legislation to make this executive order the law of the land.”

On Federal Contractors:

“Once again, President Obama is taking strong action on behalf of hard working Americans.  The federal government has no business contracting to those who would violate federal law and trample workers’ rights.  If we are to root out wage theft and labor abuses in America, we cannot overlook those perpetrated by federal contractors.
“With this executive order and the action increasing the minimum wage for federal contract workers, the President has once again reaffirmed the bedrock promise of America: that if you work hard and play by the rules, you will get a fair shake, a decent wage, and the opportunity to build a better future for yourself and your family.
”Now it is time for Congress to follow the President’s lead – stand up for our workers, protect the right to organize, and raise the minimum wage for all Americans.  Working men and women are the heart of our nation, and fighting for their rights and wages is at the core of our action plan to jumpstart the middle class.  With the President’s partnership, we will continue to work to build an economy that works for everyone, not just the privileged few.”

Now that President Trump is using Executive Orders, Mrs. Pelosi has a totally different view on Presidential Executive Orders:

Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement today after President Trump issued an executive order reinstating the global gag rule, also known as the Mexico City Policy, that restricts U.S. funding to organizations that provide basic health care and family planning services to the poorest families in the world:

“Reinstating the global gag rule returns us to disgraceful era that dishonored the American values of free speech and inflicted untold suffering on millions of women around the world.  Two days after millions of people poured into the streets across America and throughout the world in support of women’s rights, the Trump Administration has silenced even the discussion of women’s reproductive choices.
“Now, foreign non-governmental organizations will be forced to give women incomplete medical information, advice and care in order to participate in U.S.-supported programs abroad.  When last in place, the global gag rule had the effect of decreasing access to family planning services around the world.  Study after study shows that when women have increased access to family planning services and supplies, such as contraceptives, the incidence of abortion decreases.
“No U.S. funds can be or have been used to perform or promote abortion services overseas since 1973.  The fact is that President Trump’s shameful decision to reinstate the global gag rule will cause more unintended pregnancies, more maternal complications and injuries, less information about HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment and more – not fewer – abortions.”

On President Trump's Executive Order on the wall and the one doing away with President Obama's Executive Order on Immigration:

“With today’s sweeping and constitutionally suspect executive actions, the President is turning his back on both our history and our values as a proud nation of immigrants. Wasting billions of taxpayer dollars on a border wall Mexico will never pay for, and punishing cities that do not want their local police forces forced to serve as President Trump’s deportation dragnet does nothing to fix our immigration system or keep Americans safe."
“Law-abiding, hard-working immigrant families deserve better than the Trump Administration’s radical xenophobia. Who is made safer when immigrant families cannot go to the police when they are witnesses or victims of crimes? In San Francisco and across the nation, we will fight for the right of any community to choose humane and effective law enforcement strategies that work to protect and serve, not deport and intimidate.
“House Democrats will continue to stand our ground in the face of this Administration and House Republicans’ schemes by fighting for comprehensive immigration reform and fiercely protecting American families.”

My question to Leader Pelosi? Why is it great for the President of your Party to use Executive Orders to get his way, but not ok when a new President uses Executive Orders? I guess it is the same as your view on Pro-Life Christians. You consider yourself a good Catholic. You have told us that numerous times, however the Catholic Church is totally anti abortion. Then you have the nerve to say this about pro life Christians?

“They pray in church on Sunday and then prey on people the rest of the week,” she stated. “And while we’re doing the Lord’s work by ministering to the needs of God’s creation, they are ignoring those needs, which is to dishonor the God who made them.”
“So we don’t wear our religion on our sleeve, and maybe we should,” she said. “We don’t wrap ourselves in the flag, but maybe we should.”
“But we don’t, as I say, exploit that (faith),” Pelosi said. “Because we don’t think you’re supposed to. But maybe we have to make it clearer.”

Leader Pelosi, for these among many other reasons, you have the honor of being our first recipient of our Hypocrite of the Week Award. I imagine with your history it will be the first of many times you win this award.
